Data Classification & Desktops - A New Series

Desktop and VDI admins have this drilled into their memories: the two hardest parts of getting a project off the ground are the migration and the apps. That’s always been the case, and it still is today.

However, that’s just what it takes to get a project off the ground. Those views from vendors and/or Project Managers don’t fully translate to the full lifecycle of the VDI/DaaS platform. Once the apps are running as intended and the users are happy, the questions tend to shift and morph into longevity and/or security concerns.

I’m not talking about things like external pen-test scans or hardware lifecycle - I’m talking about monitoring and managing the data estate that’s referenced, used and created by the VDI/DaaS platform and its users.

That’s what we’re going to tackle in this new recurring series - resources that allow organizations to scan data sets used in VDI/DaaS environments and the various use cases for adopting them. More to come soon!
